Types of THerapy
EMDR
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy designed to help people heal from trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and distressing life experiences. It works by using bilateral stimulation (such as guided eye movements) to help the brain reprocess painful memories, reducing their emotional intensity and helping you move forward with greater clarity and peace.
As a trained EMDR therapist, I provide a safe, supportive space to explore and reprocess difficult experiences at your own pace. Whether you’re struggling with past trauma or current anxiety, EMDR can be a powerful tool for healing and long-term relief.
Sand Tray EMDR
Sand Tray EMDR combines the healing power of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with the creative, nonverbal expression of sand tray therapy. This integrative approach is especially helpful for clients who may find it difficult to express painful memories or emotions with words alone.
Using miniature figures and symbolic play in a tray of sand, you can safely explore experiences, relationships, and internal conflicts. As you create scenes in the sand, EMDR techniques are gently integrated to help the brain reprocess trauma and reduce emotional distress.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a practical, evidence-based approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. By identifying and challenging unhelpful thinking patterns, CBT empowers you to make lasting changes in how you cope, respond, and feel.
Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, OCD, or everyday stress, CBT provides tools to manage symptoms, improve emotional well-being, and build healthier habits. As a CBT-trained therapist, I’ll work with you to develop personalized strategies that support real, meaningful change.
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) Therapy
ERP is a highly effective, evidence-based treatment for OCD and anxiety. It helps you gradually face fears and resist compulsive behaviors in a safe, supportive environment. Over time, this reduces anxiety and breaks the cycle of OCD.
Ego State Therapy
Ego State Therapy is a gentle, effective approach that helps you explore and heal different parts—or “states”—of your personality that may hold unresolved emotions, beliefs, or memories. Sometimes, conflicting inner parts can cause emotional distress, confusion, or self-sabotaging behaviors.
This therapy helps you identify, communicate with, and integrate these distinct parts of yourself, promoting inner harmony and self-understanding. It’s especially helpful for trauma survivors, those with anxiety or depression, and anyone seeking deeper emotional healing.
As a trained Ego State therapist, I provide a safe, supportive space to navigate your inner world, fostering compassion and balance within yourself.
Schema Therapy
Schema Therapy is a powerful, integrative approach that helps you understand and change deep-rooted emotional patterns—called schemas—that were often formed in childhood and continue to impact your thoughts, relationships, and behaviors as an adult.
These schemas can show up as intense emotional reactions, self-sabotage, or repeating the same painful relationship patterns. Schema Therapy combines elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment theory, and experiential techniques to help you recognize these patterns, heal emotional wounds, and develop healthier ways of thinking and relating.
As a schema-informed therapist, I’ll guide you in identifying your core schemas and the “modes” (emotional states) you shift into when triggered. Together, we’ll work toward building a stronger, more compassionate sense of self—so you can live with greater freedom, connection, and self-acceptance
